That’s a really good question. I guess it would depend on the injury! I’ve got a friend who was ill for a long time, and when he got better he really changed his ideas about what was important to him. I think it would depend on the injury – I broke my hand once and I wasn’t allowed to work in the lab until the plaster had come off, I had to do paperwork all day! I don’t think I’d want to do that forever, so I’d probably have a look at doing something else if that happened.

It would depend how bad the injury is! If I am able to work I would want to carry on doing science. Having a long term injury would be really sad, i love sports and being active! Hopefully that will never happen.

Of course, as long as my brain was still functioning then I would still carry on. But I would have to make sure that the University would be able to accommodate for my disabilities.

It depends how much it restricted me doing my job. If I could carry on I would, but it sounds from your question like this might not be possible!
