A new rule I would implement is to encourage lots of young people to be fascinated by science, and to use their curious side to find out answers to the scientific questions which interest them! Perhaps if we invested more money into science, we could progress even further to help solved many of the issues we face today, such as developing new medicines, reducing pollution and finding cures to diseases.

World peace! I would enforce striker punishment on violence by lengthening prison sentences, but I would also invest in better rehabilitation programmes to ensure that people don’t re-offend if they have committed a petty-crime.

I would make it so that in year 7 or 8 every school child could have a week at University working in a genuine research group in an area they were interested in. They would get to contribute to the group’s experiments, get their names on any scientific papers that were published and experience what life at University is like at an early age. This would let them see what doing science is like at the highest level, and give them a better idea about what they might want to study.
