Hello, I try to work between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday but I have to stay much later if I have a long experiment. When I’m not in the laboratory I am reading about science or going to talks where other people talk about their research.

Hi, yes science can be 9-5 but as Anais said it depends what you are doing. Some experiments can take ages!

But scientists usually love what they do, its not just a normal job. Which means that more of a hobby we get paid to do! So working long ours doesn’t feel so bad.
