None of my work involves testing on animals.

Animal testing is very regulated and only used in the UK when it really has to be. There are a lot of amazing scientists (some that I work with even) that spend their entire time finding ways to reduce animal testing, and in the end find alternatives. Hopefully in years to come we can eradicate animal testing.

Hello, in my lab we don’t test products on animals, but we do experiments using cells that have come from animals e.g. rats. Contract Research Organisations (CROs) are companies that test products like drugs and pesticides on animals. This is done because animals are the closest thing to humans and because it’s considered immoral to test products on humans.
