  So in a day around 7000 litres of blood goes through the heart (of course it’s the same stuff!) so 7000/24 = 292 litres / 60 = 5 litres / 60 = 0.08 litres a second!
  
  A litre of blood has 5 trillion red blood cells!
  0.08 litres of blood is 5,000,000,000,000 * 0.08 so around 50 billion per second!
