• Question: how big is our galaxy?

      100,000 light years across, so if i was to shine a REALLLY bright torch one side it would take 100,000 years for it to reach the other side. Actually interesting this is when modern humans evolved, so the time it takes light to get from one side to the other of our galaxy is about how long modern humans (homosapians) have been on earth!
