Good question! The moon has a mass of 73 billion trillion (73,000,000,000,000,000,000,000) kilograms! That might seem like a lot, but it’s not that big compared to our Earth which weighs 81 times more than the Moon!
Because the Moon has less mass than the Earth, that means it has less gravity (that force that brings you back down to the ground again if you jump up in the air). The same jump that would take you 30 cm into the air on Earth, would take you almost 2 metres up into the air on the Moon!
