Question: how do you find new things?

By doing research and experiments! For example, I went to Canada earlier this year to visit a lake full of a type of salt, called magnesium sulphate, that we think might exist on the planet Mars as well as the Earth!
I’m currently doing experiments on samples from this lake to try and find an organism (an individual single-celled life form) that can live in these salts! If this works then I can look at whether life may be possible on the parts of Mars with these salts!
