• Question: do you think there was a planet between mars and jupider?

      There are theories that the asteroid belt, containing millions of space-rocks, was once bigger than it is now and that all of the material came from the destruction of one planet, called Phaeton. If this planet existed, we think it was probably hit by a large object, in the early days of the solar system, and this knocked it off it’s orbit around the sun. I’m not sure if I believe it, but it is possible.

      However, although we don’t know for sure whether this planet really existed, we do know that a dwarf planet called ‘Ceres’ is sitting happily between Mars and Jupiter right now!
