The other scientists in Thallium have some great research fields.

Dawns work on brain diseases could provide hope to all of those people with illnesses which have typically been underfunded in the UK. Success in this field has the potential to have a big impact.

But then space and black-holes as studied by David are also really exciting. Answering questions about the origins of the universe is is a pretty cool job!

Not sure about you all, but when I or my family are ill I am keen to ensure we get the best treatment – thanks to people like Dan who take the time and care to make sure that the drugs we use are safe.

Not forgetting Christies work on mitochondria – for families with genetic defects this type of work offers new hope.

I have worked across a number of different fields, and reading the biographies here it is clear that the participants are fully engaged with their research and enthusiastic enough to want to share it all with you. I think it is the inquisitiveness and need to find out new things that engages me with all aspects of science!
