Once, I accidentally took a plate of neurons that belonged to my colleague. I misheard her and thought she said I could use it, but actually she really needed it for a final experiment before she was to submit her paper to a journal. I felt really bad 🙁
The best thing I’ve done is publish my first paper! It was work that I did during my PhD where I identified a potential binding site between two proteins which are thought to play a role in Alzheimer’s disease. It’s a great achievement to publish your scientific data in a journal, so I was super proud of my first paper! Hopefully there will be many more to come!
