No one knows for sure. For one thing, some cells are easy to identify and count, but others (like brain cells) are much more difficult because of how complex their connectivity is. But some scientists have come up with an estimate of 37.2 trillion human cells in your body. This doesn’t take into account the number of bacteria you have that naturally live in your body, though! Recently, scientists published an estimate of about 40 trillion bacteria that live in an average human male. So altogether you would have almost 80 trillion cells, roughly!
