Yes, I’m so curious about so many different jobs! I’d love to try and be a doctor for a day. Or a photojournalist. (Those were two jobs I was curious about when I was younger.) Now I can’t quite imagine doing a job that doesn’t involve science. Even though there are non-lab-based jobs that I would consider, they all involve science in some way, such as working in public engagement, or working for a charity, or going into science policy.

Love Dawns answer. Come and work with me for a few weeks Dawn!

I have a ‘non-lab based job’. My favorite part is the engagement I think. I love engaging with a range of people and adapting my messages to ensure that they are understood by the audience.

I am fortunate to have tried all of the things that I might have liked to do. And now combine many.

Not sure I can think of anything new to try that I could make a living doing – I like making things but I am not that good!

I had always wanted to be a doctor too, before I worked out it was researching the diseases that I actually enjoyed more than diagnosing them! I think I wold go into law – my friends say I’m quite opinionated, and researching legal cases is not too different from researching techniques, or reading science articles. I’ve spent too long at university I think to change now though! haha.
