Every morning I am woken up by a digital alarm clock. Usually wearing my Fitbit! I get up and make breakfast (porridge in the microwave) and coffee with water (heated through a heating system) and boiled in a kettle.
The clothes that I wear are washed in a washing machine and if the weather is bad dried in a tumble drier. By this time I have usually accessed my social media feeds, e-mails and other alerts on my phone or i-pad. And at this stage I haven’t even left the house.
In work I have a mobile phone and a laptop with a docking device, screen and phone on my hot-desk. Most of my ‘science’ is conducted digitally.
It is pervasive, everywhere and I wouldn’t be without it!
