      Yes, a few. One priority at the moment is to use data science techniques to have a bigger impact with the same resource. In order to do this my team are working hard to structure our data and to encourage others to share their data.

      I have also been thinking a lot about distributed ledgers (Bitcoin like systems) and whether we can use them to prove that a food is what is says it is.

      In our lab group, we all have our own independent research projects, but they all have a common theme in that we are researching interactions between the endoplasmic reticulum and the mitochondria in disease. So as a lab group, that is our “big project”: to figure out what happens with the interactions between these two organelles in disease conditions, and how we can fix it.
