      Probably antibiotics or another medical advance. Keeping people alive is important (even if it isn’t as exciting to study!) 😉

      The most important use of science, at any time, is that it explains the world around us. This knowledge can be applied in many ways but the scientific method in and of itself is one of the greatest achievements of humankind.

      I would say science for medicine is most important. Anything that can improve our lives is a good use of science.
