I decided at 10 I wanted to be an astronomer or physicist. Before that I wanted to be a veterinarian or a horse trainer.

I think I always wanted to be either an astronaut or a scientist. At least until I got a guitar when I was 14. Then I wanted to become a rock star. That didn’t work out… 😉

I never even knew of most of the jobs you can do with science. I thought i’d be a teacher- I did my work experience at a primary school.

I really didn’t know until I went to university. There were lots of things I liked and that I thought about doing, e.g. music, languages, archeology. But I was interested in astronomy since I was about 10, when I got some astronomy books from the local library (I didn’t have a computer back then!) and I really liked physics at school. I think I didn’t really know that I’d be able to do astronomy as a career! But I’m glad that you can, and that I did! 🙂
