To figure out for yourself who you are. A lot of people are more than willing to say what they think you ought to do, what you should like, and what they think you are capable of. Really, these are things that only one person can answer (and it isn’t them).
For what you do with your life, in terms of a career, do what really interests you, and hopefully something you’re passionate about. Don’t listen to what other people tell you you should do, or what you think they expect of you. Do what feels right for you. And work hard! Getting where you want to go usually takes effort, but is worth it!
I agree entirely with Angeline and Catherine on this. Do what *you* want to do — figure out what inspires/enthuses you and be tenacious in pursuing this. Realise that there will be many times when you won’t succeed (particularly, especially in science!) but learn from these failures.
Don’t worry too much.
I used to worry about everything and it just makes things worse. If I have a big test I would be nervous but there no point in worrying as there is nothing I can do to change the outcome.
