• Question: Why do you like researching about extremophiles?

      I work on volcanoes and the magmas that drive them, rather than on the high temperature extremophiles that live in the very inhospitable, hot and often acidic volcanic systems, so I don’t want to talk too much about something I don’t work on. The materials I look at are often the products of bacterial and microbial activity.
