• Question: What's your least favourite thing about being a scientist ?

      I am currently working on short term contracts (2 years here, 3 years somewhere else) which can be difficult when you have to pack everything up and move to the next place. It’s exciting too, but it can be hard. There aren’t many jobs doing what I do, so you have to go where the work is.

      If you choose to have a career in academia as I did very early on, it’s tough. You have to move from one fixed term contract to another and always have the worry of ‘am I going to have a job’. When you get through that it’s great but before that it’s very stressful
