Interesting question and a very hard one to answer. We fire up to 100,000,000,000,000,000 every second for roughly 120 days a year. The source has run for about 25 years so I would say about 30,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. However, this is less protons than there are in a cup of coffee! And it has taken 25 years to do it, so even though it is a huge number, it still isn’t that many.
