      If I’m going to be really picky, then a meteor doesn’t fall. A meteor (by definition) is the bright streak we see in the sky when a meteroid falls into the atmosphere. Meteroids – the small rocks travelling through space – don’t always travel in the same direction. It’s just that the only ones we notice are the ones that collide with Earth’s atmosphere.
