Bees are so important because they are pollinators, which means they transfer pollen between different plants. This results in the plants producing the seeds. These seed or fruit containing seeds are our source of food. Other insects and the wind can do this for some plants but most of the crops we eat or feed to animals for us to eat really on the bees.

I found an interesting fact on bees and their brilliant pollinating work, approximately one third of the food we consume each day relies on pollination by bees (and some other insects and birds).
If we didn’t have bees we wouldn’t be able to have enough food, so we definitely need to protect them!
