I think people will always need batteries and ways to store electricity. The funny thing about science is we never can predict the completely new cool stuff. Many years ago people thought computers would get smaller and better but nobody imagined the touch screen until someone actually made one!

Stuart is right, storing energy is really important right now and one of the types of materials that a lot of people are looking at is a new type of solar cell. If someone can make a better solar cell then it will be a really great thing for renewable energy.
