When you’re going through a hive in summer, it can have up to 60,000 bees in it. But normally you’re only picking up a frame or so at a time, and that can vary hugely with the amount of bees, depending if the queen has laid eggs in every frame or not or also how many nurse bees are tending to the larvae developing on that frame, most hives have a lot bees within the centre of the colony, but around 1000+ per frame.
