• Question: What is the disadvantages of the world being flat ?

      You can fall off the edge. Plus, one of the elephants might slip and the disc could fall off Great A’Tuin’s back. 🙂

      A flat world would be very annoying at times. For example it would probably mess with the seasons as we know them, and night and day cycles.

      Also we wouldn’t be able to use orbiting satellites like we do now, which would ruin things like mobiles and GPS.

      Plus it would take longer to get to other places in the world if you couldn’t go around! So I prefer the world being nice and 3D 🙂

      It’s a real headache for those astronauts in the ISS who have to fly around it once every 90 minutes!
