      Not by itself. A single person can only do so much, so science is really a global effort, with researchers from all over the world trying to solve complex problems like hunger. It’s a good feeling to be part of something that is bigger than myself.
      In addition, global problems like hunger (or climate change, etc.) cannot be solved by science alone. Scientists can analyse a problem and come up with a solution, but people need to accept a solution and implement it too.
      That means you need politicians, engineers, medical doctors, software specialists, journalists, etc all working together.
