Not directly perhaps, as my work is more to do with what happens when we eat something with bad bacteria in, not how to keep food safer beforehand.
However the place I work at is called the Institute of Food Research, and as the name suggests there are loads of scientists here working on things to do with food. There are people here who study what nutrients makes food healthy or not, and how to improve food including making it last longer and stay safe to eat 🙂
