Well I am not going to try and convince you to do something you don’t want to! To be a good scientist you really need to enjoy it, but it is of course not for everyone.

What I would say is that even if you don’t want to be a scientist as a career, it is good for everyone to pay attention to what happens in science, as it impacts so many parts of our lives now. And also it can be pretty cool!

Not everybody in the world can or has to be a scientist. Everybody is different and likes different things.
The best advice I can give you is that you should try different things, see what you like and stick with it. How do you do that? You can do a work experience: That allows you to see first hand what a particular job is about. During your experience, you can talk with people doing it face-to-face. That should give you a good idea whether you like something or not.
Be open-minded about it: We (i.e. people) often associate images with a word (like a job title) that turn out to be completely wrong.

I wouldn’t try and change your mind. On the contrary, I’d try to convince you to follow your passion. My passion is science and I’m following it 🙂

Also, I’ve to agree with Sam. Science is part of our lives, so learn as much as you can about it, even though it’s not your future job.

      Good luck with your career!
