      That is a difficult question.
      You’d have to understand what it is that makes popcorn taste like popcorn. It will likely be a combination of different flavours. Texture might also play into it. In addition, different people can have different sensation of taste, i..e one person says it tastes like popcorn while the next one doesn’t.
      Overall, I think you could change the falour of wheat grain (or other plants), but not just yet. We have to do a bit more research for that.
      It’s probably a lot easier to change the flavour of something further down the production chain, i.e. you could easily flavour bread to taste like something else. You could for example mix different types of grain to go into one loaf, e.g. wheat and rye grain.
      Send a letter to Kingsmill, Warburton etc if you are interested in a different flavour of bread. Maybe they’ll like your idea.
