Torrent frogs are frogs that live in very wet environments, such as by waterfalls. They’re of interest to me because they can still stick to surfaces (e.g. rocks) without being swept off, even though their adhesive toe pads are completely submerged in water.
Generally, no; but several frogs secrete a fluid through the skin on their backs which can act as an irritant to human skin (and could potentially cause more harm to smaller animals). Whenever handling such frogs, its advisable to wear goves.
