I can’t recall being asked this ever. The first choice that comes to mind is, a dolphin. Dolphins have an echolocation sense so their world must be very interesting. Also their world is much larger and more three-dimensional than our world (except of course for flying people). They seem to have language and maybe even higher mental activity like aesthetics. The novelist Douglas Adams wrote about dolphins running a “Save the humans” campaign in So long and thanks for all the fish.
probably a gecko, they have really fine hairs on the pads of their feet so they can walk on walls! plus geckos like in warm countries…the only downside is the diet of crickets!!
I’d be a cat. I just think a well looked after cat has a brilliant life. They can come and go as they please, food magically appears in their bowls, they get to lounge around all day in the sun or by the fire, and they get to sleep a lot. I also think they’re cleverer than they look. They pretend to be a bit stupid and helpless so that we look after them, but I think they know a lot more than they’re letting on 😉
I guess I should say “a frog”, but to be honest I think I’d prefer to be a tiger. Their grace, strength and agility are remarkable – and they look so cool!
