      Yes, a few times.

After I’ve done my experiment, I have to do a procedure that takes three days before I can find out if the experiment worked or not. The procedure in itself is quite tricky, so when I find out after three days that my experiment didn’t even work it can be really frustrating!

I think one of the big things a scientist needs to be able to do is go ‘Ah well, maybe next time!’ and not lose heart.

Yes, sometimes things go wrong but a lot of times the result is just not what you expect-so at times it can get really frustrating trying to figure out what your results mean. But in terms of actually failed, i exploded a vial yesterday by accident, I didn’t realise the reaction released gas and it blew the lid off, which could have been really dangerous if there was anyone else around-pretty scary, but accidents can happen (just hopefuly not to me again for a while…scared ten years off my life hehe)!!
