I’m really enjoying it yes thanks 🙂
It’s a lot more addictive than I was expecting it to be, when I get new questions I can’t help but start answering them!
That means that yes it is kind of distracting me and stopping me from getting on with my normal work, but I think I’ve got a good balance going so far. I’m gutted I won’t be able to make some of the live chats because of other appointments at work, but I’m glad I can make most of them.
It’s really addictive actually!once you get into answering the questions people come up with it’s hard to stop hehe, I like that it gets us all thinking about things we wouldn’t normally spend too much time on (like how we became scis etc)
I checked with my supervisor before I started and he’s on board so if it does disrupt my work it’s only two weeks-but so far it’s been quite easy to fit reactions and experiments around IAS. I think my research group is really into outreach projects so it’s not so strange, this year we are teaching polymers for a day to school students doing a summer school, and later giving school teachers an insight into how they can get polymers into school lessons!
I think it could take up as much time as you let it-but I’m really enjoying it so far!!
It hasn’t proved to be too much of a disruption so far; I’m able to fit in answering questions and participating in live chats around my normal work schedule, which is great. And yes, I’m very much enjoying it! Hope you are too.
