• Question: do you all think that nucleaar power is safe? i dont think for because of radiation

      I don’t really know a lot about nuclear power but my best friend worked at a nuclear power plant and she said that they are really concious of all safety procedures- even things like walking when you have a hot drink or going upstairs while on the phone, so i think if its handled properly it can be safe.

      The use of alternative ways of getting energy has to be explored as oil/gas prices increase a sustainble process has to be found

      I don’t really like the thought of nuclear power, because even though the risk of a radiation accident is small, they have happened, and they do harm the environment and our health.

      Although using nuclear power reduces carbon emissions, I’d prefer us to find alternative sustainable energy sources and cut down on the amount of electricity we’re using.
