We regularly present our work in progress to other scientists on our experiment in many many meetings. This is good as you get feedback from others who may see things from a different perspective.
We don’t release every stage of our work to the public because we want to double, triple and quadruple check that every stage of the work is correct and scientifically correct. It is then and only then that we feel it is ready to be scrutinised by everyone. It is about people having trust in scientists result not us trying to hide something from you.
