      I love it 🙂

      I also think it has a real effect of driving some areas of technology forward, Just look at the Asimo project for a good example of us trying to catch up with scifi 🙂

      I think is important that as humans we let our imaginations run away every now and then. Many Sci-Fi ideas also guide research and new technology because after seeing stuff in movies we want it. It can also a good way of communicating real complex science in a way in which lots of people can understand.

      It’s never really floated my boat to be perfectly honest – science fact has plenty to occupy me! When I’m reading books or watching films I tend to prefer ones that help me understand the present and the past. I’ve not got a big downer on sci-fi or anything, I just enjoy other types of entertainment more.

      Isaac Asimov is my favourite scifi author. In particular the “foundation” series.
