• Question: in your opinion which is the right theory, the string theory or the quantum mechanic theory?

      There is currently no evidence for string theory so I will have to say quantum mechanics. String theory is naturally constructed so that it reproduces the same results as quantum mechanics because we have so much evidence that quantum mechanics works.

      Like Ben says there’s no evidence for string theory, while quantum mechanics is backed up by a large amount of evidence.

      So at the minute I’d say that string theory is just speculation, whereas quantum mechanics is a well-tested theory.
