A couple of my friends at Uni studied Psychology, and I have taken part in a few of their experiments. They were mainly looking at how the brain stores information ( and mine was really bad at it according to their experiments :p )
Most of the psychologists I knew at Uni didn’t take it at GCSE or A-Level, but they did make sure they had Maths with Statistics though, as its a big part of understanding the results of various studies, at least one of them also had Physics!
hey don’t worry about it not being in your GCSE options! I know of some universities where they actually prefer students to come in *not* having done GCSE or A-level psychology, so it might be worth checking that out if you think you might want to study it later. I think you need to be quite good at maths and statistics for psychology.
I’m not sure if I’d have done it – it wasn’t an option for me either at GCSE. It’s probably something I’ve found more interesting as I’ve gone through life.
