• Question: What do you feel are the most important qualities in being a good scientist?

      Oh, another good question! I think you have to be interested in science and patient if it doesn’t work the first time round. It also helps if you’re quite creative and can think of different ways of doing things. But the most important thing is to be interested in science, the rest follows. Are you?

      Wow, what a question! I think you have to love science – all jobs can be tiring & repetitive no matter what you do so you really need to love and believe in what you are doing when you are spending 7 hours a day pipetting in a lab!
      You also need to be quite critical, prepared to ask Why? to pretty much everything and then be creative enough to think about how to answer why!
      But if you love your science then you can learn everything else 🙂
