Hello. Recently, I’ve done some research which has started to answer the question ‘what happens inside our bodies that actually causes blood pressure to reduce after a period of exercise’. We know that blood pressure does fall (at rest) if you exercise regularly. We don’t know exactly what precise process makes that happen. My research has started to show that the chemical properties of the blood after exercise may cause a short response. Over time, this short response may become a lasting effect.

If we know the answer to the question above, we could tailor exercise programmes to help deal with high blood pressure problems around the world (more than 1 billion people are thought to have high blood pressure worldwide).

      Best regards.
