It’s probably a combination of the unpredictability and variation of my work. No day is ever the same. Plus i get to work with lots of really interesting people, from my fellow researchers, to some of the disbaility groups i get to test with. Finally the fact that it feals like i am making a difference to people, whether it’s the research i do that is passed on to elite sportspeople to improve their performance, to the disability groups who’s quality of life we are hopefully improving.
That’s not really one thing is it?! sorry!! 🙂
I think for me it is how varied my work is each day and week. Last weekend I was up at 4am to go with an athlete to an Ironman competition he was doing that day, and we worked together before and after the race. I am doing Im a Scientist this week as well as writing a couple of articles for magazines, I am planning a new research project and meeting with other fitness and sports people. I also have the opportunity to meet some really inspirational disabled and able-bodied athletes.
