It varies. This year I have probably spent 2-4 hours in the lab every Wednesday and Friday (my research days). When I was a PhD student, I would sometimes spend all week in the lab, but these days I have more “paperwork” to do 🙁

I dont have a lab, most of my research is done in the field – meaning I go and interview or test athletes where they are. This is because I dont work for a university, so I dont have the same kinds of facilities. I do have a small office, which I am probably in 4 hours per day or more, the rest of the time I am out and about

This week I’m doing 11 hours teaching, so a lot less time in the lab than I should do. Normally, about 6 hours a day, minimum, and the rest is spent analysing my data.
