I always enjoyed the practical part of science lessons at high school. I liked the theory in biology too. I found physics and chemistry a bit boring although now I find it much more interesting and actually have to understand both quite well to do my research.
Always, and I loved all the sciences at school, although weirdly never really liked doing the experiments. But what can you be interested in that isn’t to do with science? Even playing a guitar is a study of vibration.
I probably began to become interested in science when I was in about year 10 at school..I really loved P.E and did a GCSE in it and I liked learning about the human body and things like that. Up until then I did’t really take an interest.
I didn’t like all types of science at school though…I hated Physics because I just couldn’t understand it. But as I got older I found the bits of science I enjoyed and thought were interesting… and focused on those areas. Now I am doing research in an area which I find really interesting…no physics involved :).
I have probably had an interest for science all my life but not been aware of it until the last few years. I remember doing a science project at primary school on flowers and i loved it, i put so much effort into it. I guess when I was secondly school, although i loved science, i thought it was only geeks that like it and that i was too cool to like science. However now i know that there is no such thing as geeks and that everyone and any one can be interested in science.
