It was probably an asteroid colliding with the earth. The asetroid is said to have cause a massive crater and spewed out dust into the atmosphere. The dust blocked the sun killing plants, then plant eaters and then finally meat eaters.

I’m not really sure…there are so many theories about what killed the dinosaurs I am not sure that anyone really knows. Some people suggest it was climate change the dinosaurs could not adapt to slow they slowly died out…others have said it was disease, volcanoes, an ice age, asteriod impact and even hayfever which created a mass allergic reaction amongst them!! (although I think this is very unlikely).

The theory Iike most is that obesity killed the dinosaurs…that they got to big and heavy to move about, defend themselves and withstand their own weight! The theory makes my research even more worth while as based on this I could suggest that obesity is going to wipe out the human race so we need to find ways to stop it now! (I do think this theory is pretty unlikely though…in terms of both dinosaurs and humans ;)).

I think the most likely theory is something like a volcanic eruption…or that nothing killed them and they just evolved into other species!

I think a big earthquake that happened over the whole world killed dinosaurs. Imagine if they were still alive today it would be so scary!!

I like the giant meteorite theory, but then the jury is still out as to what side effect of the impact / impacts would have caused the extinction. Some people think that climate change was already killing them off without the need for meteor impacts!

The best theory I have heard is that there was a huge meteor strike on the Earth. While this did not kill the dinosaurs directly, it caused climate change on such a massive scale that the plants that the creatures lived on changed causing their diet to change. This had impacts on their digestive systems and the animals died of constipation!
