Going to events and doing tests in real situations with real sports stars. We got to ski with Herman ‘the Hermanator’ Meier in Austria and sit in and film a Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey training session.
I think that in Sport Science you get to meet alot of really interesting (and famous) people (mainly realted to sport) and like all scientists…you get to travel quite alot! A lot of the time sports science requires you to be out of the typical “science lab” environment and out doing a variety of things..so thats always fun!
You get to meet some really interesting people and get to work with athletes. Another perk of sports science is that you can apply what you learn to the whole population.
