No it isn’t. It requires a lot of hard work, persistence and self motivation. You also have to use your brain alot and their are always new problems which crop up with your research that you need to solve!

Somethings in my job are easy and somethings are hard. Today I was reading about all sorts of chemical reactions in the brain. I’m just learning about how the brain functions at the moment and it was really hard to concentrate because there were so many new words that i didn’t know. I have brain ache now!

My job can be as easy or as hard as you make it. However if you go along the easy route you will find yourself falling behind and not getting any data. The best scientists i think are ones who work hard but also balance this with a fun social life

No, but it’s fun. If it was easy it would be really boring and I would hate that. I need a challenge!

Compared to, say, king crab fishing, yes! It’s safe, it’s mostly indoors, it rarely involves freezing water or leads to fatalities. Easy is relative. My job can occasionally be exhausting or draining, but there certainly are much harder jobs out there.
