I do about a 50 hour week, but it’s a mixture of in my office, working from home, working in the lab or working off-site. I only spend a little of my time actually in the lab as I mostly supervise the people who do that for me!

Probably around 10 hours at the minute…but this depends on what I have going on each week. I am starting to collect results from people next month so I will be in the lab everyday…which will mean it is more like 20-25 hours a week I will spend there!

I don’t get in the lab much now. I leave that to the students and researchers. I was in there today for an hour making some new ski waxes. I’ll be off to do some ski tests in a couple of weeks at Sno!zone in Castleford which is an indoor snow slope. We usually start at 7 am!

At the moment i’m not working in a lab at all. When I do work on a project in a lab I usually spend about 15 hours a week in there.

It depends on whether i have people booked in to test or if i am doing some analysis. Sometimes i can be in the lab 40hours a week where as others it is between 5-10 hours.
