• Question: why do ghosts spurt out ectoplasm?

      So I hate to say this, but no-one has scientifically proven that ghosts exist. Some people used to pretend that ectoplasm existed and made it up with potato starch. However, the ectoplasm *is* the name for the outer part of a cell in living things, which has been studied a lot by biologists!

      You’d have to ask the director of “ghost busters” (which is a comedy by the way). People are fascinated by ghosts, but proof still doesn’t exist, although many people have tried finding it! Ectoplasm might be just a scary idea and gross too – which is why you see it in movies…
