Question: what are you trying to discover with the large hadron collider?

Well, there are people looking for lots of things. Some people are looking for black holes! Some people are studying what the universe looked like in the first seconds after teh big bang. Some people are studying antimatter, and others are making precise measurements on the particles we know about. Still others are looking for brand new types of particles that our Standard Model doesn’t predict.

Me personally ? I am looking for a heavy Higgs boson. (another Higgs-like particle, but heavier)
